Hosting OS license

Buy a CloudLinux license

Genuine CloudLinux OS licenses — the hardened shared-hosting OS that isolates each tenant in its own lightweight container. LVE limits, CageFS, PHP Selector and MySQL Governor included on every license. Want live kernel patching or malware protection too? KernelCare and Imunify360 are available as separate licenses.

About CloudLinux

What is a CloudLinux license?

CloudLinux is a CentOS / AlmaLinux derivative built specifically for shared hosting. It adds Lightweight Virtual Environments (LVE) for per-account CPU/RAM/I/O caps, CageFS for filesystem isolation, PHP Selector for per-account PHP versions, and MySQL Governor for query isolation. We offer two per-server editions: the base CloudLinux OS license and a cPanel-optimised edition.

Who it's for

Who buys a CloudLinux license from us

Shared and reseller hosts who need per-account isolation, and hosts moving off CentOS who want a long-term LTS replacement.

FAQ

CloudLinux license questions

Is CloudLinux a replacement for CentOS?
Yes — CloudLinux is binary-compatible with RHEL/CentOS/AlmaLinux and adds the hosting-specific features (LVE, CageFS, PHP Selector). Migration from CentOS is in-place.
Do I need KernelCare?
If you can't afford to reboot for kernel CVEs — yes. It's not bundled with a CloudLinux license; it's sold separately and patches your CloudLinux kernel live once installed.
Is Imunify360 included?
No, Imunify360 is a separate license — buy it alongside CloudLinux for malware scanning and remediation.
What's the difference between the two CloudLinux editions?
Both are single-server licenses with the same core features (LVE, CageFS, PHP Selector, MySQL Governor). The cPanel edition is tuned specifically for cPanel/WHM stacks; pick the base OS edition for Plesk, DirectAdmin or unmanaged setups.
